Dead Pool

Now my good friend has made it clear that he would prefer that I only post about video games, so I would like to tell you about my favorite character in "Marval V.S Capcom 3". I find Dead Pool to be hilarious while also deadly. I have also read many Dead Pool comics and recommend them highly.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to talk about... I get bored pretty easy.

Alone in the Dark: Part 3

So, my friend, Blade579, and I have progressed in the game, "Alone in the Dark". Although there has been many times that we have been so frustrated with the game, the option to poor lighter fluid on the xbox did seem appealing. Regardless we stuck through it and got much further, granted i doubt we at all close to the ending, we have progressed. Which brings me back to the list of things we hate about "Alone in the Dark".

This officially concludes our list of things we hate about, "Alone in the Dark"... until we find more things we hate. Anyway here are some helpful hints to those who get stuck in some of the places we did.

1) Don't forget you can blink! trust us it can help

2)Don't get obsessed over clues that could possibly mean NOTHING!

3)Don't forget about weapons on the floor. I know it seems stupid, but trust us they are always around and they will never run out of ammo.

4)STICKY BOMBS!

And that is all the helpful hints I have for you today.

Rediculous weapons in video games

From magical farting unicorns to enormous foam finger hand cannons, ridiculous weapons have always made their way into our most favorite of games. Is this a bad thing? Well, it depends on your sense of humor. Do you enjoy killing necromorphs with your imagination? Or prefer to cast a "party" spell in a room full of prestigious knights? Either way, you'll need a weapon that requires the ability to tolerate the absolutely crazy and broken weapons that you will either love or hate. Let me start with a few of my favorites:
Mr. Toots (Red Faction: Armageddon)

The Foam Finger (Dead Space 2)

Every other weapon in Dead Rising

Bonus weapons (Soulcalibur 4)

Hal's rifle (Fable 2)

And I will continue this tomorrow with another post. smightnight and I are about to watch "Pulse". We have high hopes.

cont.

Hey all, this is the continued list of ridiculous weapons in video games...

Golf Club (Halo: Reach)

Scarab's gun (Halo 2)

and etc. Honestly, I enjoy these sort of weapons every now and again, but when used regularly, like in Dead Rising, the weapons lose their finesse. Then again, this is coming from the guy that enjoyed Dead Rising: Case Zero (an XBLA arcade title) more than Dead Rising 2 (The actual $60 game). I enjoy weapons such as these, but not when they are used in rapid succession and constantly. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to destroy buildings in Red Faction with the backside of a unicorn... I still can't get over that... haha.

Alone in the Dark:Part 2

As my friend, blade 579, and I have learned, if you don't play survival games often you will struggle with this game. Aside from "Condemned 2", I have not played any other survival games. While neither of us are prepared for this game, we do find it to be a good challenge. Having said that there are many aspects of this game that we find... piss us off to say the least. It is because of this that we have devised a list of things that piss us off about this game.

1) camera angles.

2) "combinations"

3) the fissure

4) lack of objectives on the map

5) confusing story line

6) really stupid puzzles

So these are the things in "Alone in the Dark" that really piss us off. Please comment with your list of things that really piss you off in the video game your currently playing!

Alone in the Dark

Today I will be going over a bit of a review as well as a short tutorial for the game "Alone in the Dark". First Id like to say that I extremely enjoy this game. Your character wakes up in a mysterious make shift hospital with no memory of his former self. I personally found that the blinking effect really sucked in all honesty. As my friend failed many times, one must remember to blink, if you do not do so you will die. Not to fret though, this painfully annoying mechanic will not be necessary in the near future. To blink just press in the right thumb stick.

While the game does provide a general tutorial for the most part, it lacks in some major details which would make your gaming experience much easier. One such detail lies in the jacket. Your jacket acts as your primary bag, with many holsters. It will contain many essential items which will be crucial for survival. While this game masks itself as just a horror game I find it as more of a survival game. To survive you must check every corner, desk and hole in the floor to find important items, one such item is the flashlight. Often times you will find yourself in extremely dark places, during which your flashlight will be your only source of light. With this said leaving your flashlight on the whole time will not work out well. Just like in the real world, your flashlight will not have an unlimited amount of power, like many things it runs on batteries. Conserve your flashlight only for times when it is absolutely necessary. While you can collect batteries, your character, apparently, is not smart enough to change the batteries himself, but instead you have to open your jacket and "combine" the batteries with the flashlight.

Other items can be combined to form weapons, such as the lighter and mosquito spray to form a make shift flamethrower. While I have just started to play this game I will be posting more helpful hints as I learn them myself.
